I'd love to help you succeed. I am a recent graduate from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Neuroscience, so you could call me a "brain-iac". Bad jokes aside, if you need help with Math, Science, English, Spanish, or Writing, then I am the tutor for you! I pay close attention to detail and will give you the tools to tackle any problem to ensure that every aspect of a problem is understood so that when test day comes, it'll be a walk in the park.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that our minds have unlimited learning ability, but sometimes we struggle to comprehend ideas and problems. With the correct approach, and a little practice, we can learn anything.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
A typical first session will include a background assessment of the student's subject material and his/her current abilities. Once the areas of strength and weakness are defined, I will structure a personalized, strategical plan to improve performance.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I will provide my most successful study tips and methods that I've used throughout college, in addition to assessing the student's learning style in order to create a comprehensive study plan.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would teach the student how to use several approaches to the concept until one of them sticks, so the student can better understand the concept.
