I am an energetic, effective, and experienced teacher. After completing my B.A. in English with Philosophy Minor from UC Berkeley, I lived in Rome, Italy for two years where I taught English as a Second Language. During this time, I discovered that I had a passion and a gift for teaching.
I completed my PhD in Comparative Literature with an emphasis on Latin American Studies from UC Los Angeles in 2009. While at UCLA I taught courses in Comparative Literature (Great Books), Writing Composition, and Spanish. From 2010-2014, I was Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish at Whitman College. I am currently Visiting Assistant Professor of Humanities at Lewis and Clark College where I teach courses in the Core curriculum and Spanish. My objective is to connect with students and stimulate intellectual curiosity, which I believe is the key to learning.
