I graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Telecommunications Production and a MFA in Fiction Writing. I have taught college composition and literature for twenty-two years, twelve as a tenured professor. When I am helping students with their writing, I ask them a lot of questions so that I know what they want to say. I never want to to put words in their mouths. I want to help them express their ideas clearly, and want them to understand the concepts that will enable them to write clearly on their own.
