Certified Tutor

I am a recent graduate of The George Washington University Law School and am currently a practicing attorney in Washington state. Prior to law school, I worked as an editor for a publishing company in D.C. I received my undergraduate degree from The George Washington University, with degrees in Journalism and International Relations. Throughout law school, college, and in my current and prior work, my writing abilities have been paramount. I have found success both in school and my career through understanding how to research and write for different purposes and different audiences, and I am excited to help students build this essential skill. My goal as a tutor is also to help motivate students throughout the writing process, not only by highlighting the short- and long-term benefits of being able to write well, but by creating a learning environment that generates enthusiasm and pride in creating a wonderful piece of writing. I also look forward to meeting new students in general, and learning about their interests and future goals. Some of my interests include cooking, photography, dancing, hiking, and playing tennis. Some of my future goals include getting a dog, learning to snowshoe, and of course, helping students achieve success in writing!
