I obtained both Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Santa Clara University and have always felt that is just where my education began. Since that time, I have prided myself on constantly educating myself in my chosen professions, as reflected in my Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Investments and Derivatives Auditor credentials. I am also a certified substitute teacher with the State of California.

In 2012 I decided to go into business for myself doing payroll and tutoring. I have been trained in Standardized Test Preparation, for SAT/ACT and similar high school exit exams. There are three "gaps" a student must overcome for these tests: the knowledge gap, the logical thinking gap, and the confidence gap. I can help you or your student overcome these gaps and obtain their highest potential score in the SAT/ACT or their highest potential grade in class.

My teaching style is geared toward self sufficiency in the student. I feel a tutor's job is done when the student exhibits sufficient knowledge in the subject matter and has the tools necessary to do homework accurately and score highly on tests. It is then a matter of the student practicing these skills, which take him well beyond the classroom.

Outside my work, I love to volunteer, travel, and enjoy life with my pre-teen daughter. In my tutoring business, I have enjoyed top ratings from parents and students alike with one SAT student achieving a 2000 on the exam, up 33% from her initial score.
