My name is Jared Schwartz, and I am from Palo Alto, California. I currently go to UCLA, and I am planning to double major in Political Science and Cognitive Science. I have tutored since my sophomore year of high school, in math, science, English and test prep. I have also worked as a camp counselor and have a 5-year-old sister, so I have plenty of experience working with kids! I am a qualified tutor for various levels of math, science and English as well as standardized tests like the SAT, ACT and CAHSEE. I love tutoring all subjects and helping anyone out. My goal in tutoring is to work with you to actually enjoy the subject while improving, which I find makes everything much easier. I am patient and compassionate, and love thinking of new ways to help teach things. I find that looking at the bigger picture on subjects and comparing them to our own experiences can be especially useful. I like to think I have a good sense of humor, even when I'm teaching or working on normally tedious subjects. When I'm not tutoring, I play soccer and tennis, and I'm a big fan of the Golden State Warriors, 49ers, and of course my UCLA Bruins. I also play guitar to unwind after a long day.
