Certified Tutor

I am currently a graduating senior at the University of Washington expected to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Law, Society and Justice. Despite my age, I have engaged in a unique series of tutoring experiences. These range from traditional academic settings where I provided support for students struggling in History and English through my involvement in National High School Honors Society, to my roles in educating and assisting homeless and other diverse populations through public health initiatives and political organizations. I love engaging with subjects that educate us on how we as individuals structure our world and view ourselves. This love has developed into a passion for writing, literature, and numerous genres of history as I find that these subjects truly articulate who we are.

I find that greatest way to teach any material is by demonstrating that the subject is not just isolated to an exam, but to also to a countless amount of diverse fields that influence a student's life . For example, cultivating a love for American literature by looking at it through the lens of sports writing. This idea provides a foundation for how I view education; as never simply confined to the classroom. We engage in the learning process through truly ever part of life. This I believe, is the most important element for academic success. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and amateur boxing depending on how I feel.
