How did a history teacher become my favorite instructor when I am way more interested in other subjects? Passion. His passion was contagious; despite the huge range of social sciences offered at Ohio State, I took Ancient World History and Classical Greek History because of his 7th grade social studies seminar course on ancient societies. When I tutor English or Math, I emulate his passion. I can't help myself! In fact, I earned an English Degree in addition to my Psychology BA because I enjoy reading and writing so much. I'm not just a book worm though. I'm a huge sports fan (especially for my Buckeye Football National Champs!), I'm a total gym rat, and I have the stereotypical love for all things girly: hair, makeup, fashion, etc. Most importantly, however, I love teaching. I utilize my psychology experience to foster a comfortable environment for my students and help them know they are safe to ask questions. I work very hard to ensure that my students and I are on the same page and I won't move on to another task until they feel ready. I'm here to make difficult subjects fun, exciting, and seem easy.
