I graduated Wesleyan University with High Honors in Sociology, Phi Beta Kappa. When I'm not tutoring, I work at a think-tank doing research on under-served populations and public health.

My specialties are getting my students into college by helping them achieve strong scores and write strong essays, and teaching students of all ages in reading comprehension, writing and verbal skills.

I have a passion for teaching verbal and critical reading sections of standardized tests- I help my students "beat" the SAT and ACT. My other strength is the college app. essay- one of the most important sections of your application! I believe that anyone, with the right tools, can ace a standardized test. My teaching style is to focus briefly on overcoming testing anxiety, start off by learning the best way to tackle problems, and, as for everything, help you "practice, practice, practice" (in testing conditions!). These exams are easier to ace than you think. I keep things stress-free and help my students of all levels stay motivated as their scores rise.

I also love to teach reading, reading comprehension, and literature to students of all ages. I'm great with younger kids, and I have experience building skills and confidence in children who need help with reading and verbal skills.

When I'm not tutoring or working, I love to cook, paint, work out, and hang out with dogs. I also love traveling abroad, and meeting new people!
