I received my bachelor's degree in the Teaching of French from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After graduation, I spent the following three years working as a French teacher for Chicago Public Schools. I then lived in Paris for a year and obtained my master's degree through New York University in Paris. This experience inspired me to continue my education, and I am currently a PhD candidate at Northwestern University. I am writing my thesis on 1930's French film from New York City. Before moving to New York, I spent two years teaching Beginning and Intermediate French at Northwestern. I have instructed all levels of students ranging from pre-K to university, including adults, and have been tutoring students individually throughout my teaching career. I continue to take trips to France for research, through which I am able to maintain a close relationship with the language and culture. I am a life-long learner, and my experience as a teacher, mentor, and tutor has led me to believe in every student's potential to achieve success through education. In my free time, I love watching old films, traveling, reading novels in French and English, and cooking.
