Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of two institutions. The first is Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Broadcast Journalism. The second institution I attended was Full Sail University where I received a Masters of Science in Entertainment Business. Also, I obtained a graduate certificate in mediation and conflict resolution from the University of Phoenix. Currently, I attend Trinity Washington University where I am getting a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Educating for Change. I began tutoring in 2008 as a volunteer at a community center in Tallahassee, Fla. Then, I was hired by a company in Leon County, Fla., where I was a tutor from 2009-2011. I also have experience as an educator. I taught Spanish at a summer camp in 2010 to students ages 5-14. Plus, I have teaching experience in Alexandria, VA and Washington, D.C. The subjects I tutor in are writing, social sciences, Spanish, and organizational skills. My favorite subject to tutor in is writing. I am an avid writer, and my writing skills are a strength in my life. I believe every student can learn and that every student learns differently. My tutoring style is interactive and rooted in differentiation. I will work to actively engage my students in their learning, so it is beneficial for them. Outside of tutoring, I am a foodie. I enjoy trying new cuisines and cooking. Also, I enjoy sightseeing in Washington, D.C. Education is important to me. I will work my hardest to ensure your child's success academically.
