I have enjoyed being a classroom teacher for over thirty years. I have worked mainly at the middle school level, but my expertise has allowed me to tutor both middle and high school students. I have been successful in my teaching career for several reasons. I am a caring and patient teacher, whether I am working with a group of students or one-onone with a child. I understand that children learn in different ways. I have taken that into consideration and have adapted my teaching and tutoring depending on the children's needs. I can simplify complex topics so that they become understandable to my students. I have also worked with students to help them improve their organizational and study skills .
