Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Brooklyn College. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics Education & Mathematics. As well in majoring in Math, I also minored in sociology, which provided more insight of the interaction of people. I am working on obtaining my teaching certification. I have experience teaching large math classes to working with small groups or individuals. While working with a tutoring program for at risk students, I had the opportunity to provide in-home tutoring to a range of age groups from 1st to 12th graders. With this company I tutored in English and Math. I've worked with TRIO program, providing tutoring to high school students in English and Math. As an educator, my job is to strengthen the knowledge of my students' skills/foundation and to present the material in ways that once seemed challenging as not so complex. I live for the "oh, I get it" moments.
