Certified Tutor
I am a recent graduate of the University of Toledo College of Medicine. I graduated with my M.D. degree in May 2014. I am currently working in an outpatient medical office belonging to a national Pain Management practice. I have extensive experience tutoring at the college level, while I was an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, as well as some informal tutoring experience while in medical school. I tutor mainly the sciences, along with English/writing, and Psychology. My favorite subject to tutor is Physiology because that is a discipline that is currently a part of my everyday life, and I would love to impart it onto other people and find different ways to teach it that way I can explain it better to my patients. My tutoring style is similar to the doctor-patient relationship: being patient, explaining concepts in basic terms that are easy to understand, being constantly available for assistance at anytime, and helping my students WANT to make progress in their studies (similar to making my patients WANT to improve their health). Aside from my medical work, I play both the violin and the piano, and find music to be very therapeutic for my stressful lifestyle. Additionally, I play in a community orchestra and I absolutely love to attend musical concerts, especially at the Kennedy Center. I also love bowling, shopping at the mall, and fine dining.
