Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where I received my Bachelor of Science with a focus in Biological Sciences. I also received a minor in the Chemical Sciences and the Fine Arts. The summer after graduating, I lived in Gamboa, Panama for two months where I worked as an intern conducting research for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. Currently, I work as a research technologist at the Medical College of Wisconsin where I perform biochemical reactions on disease causing proteins to help find a cure for Alzheimers. I tutor a broad range of subjects in both the biological sciences and the chemical sciences. Out of these vast areas of study I am most passionate about organic chemistry, biochemistry and anatomy/physiology because I feel they offer a link between many fields of science. As a tutor, I feel it is important to help the student find what studying technique works best for them, whether it be flash cards or through drawing diagrams. In order to help my students succeed, I take part in their active learning and help build their study skill set. In my spare time, I am a competitive snowboarder and I enjoy running, swimming, and painting.
