I'm completing my Master's thesis for an advanced degree in English Literature from UVa. I specialize in 20th century American literature. At UVa, I have done extensive individual tutoring work primarily with writing and composition students. I also have worked at an education nonprofit in Lower Manhattan where I assisted small children in a variety of educational settings. In college I worked as a tutor for children and with young adults in Hanoi, Vietnam.
I also have a background working in New York. I take an individualized approach to my teaching by assessing the interests of the students I work with. I strive to identify the areas that most excite my students and build on that excitement to create a cohesive learning experience that will stay with you as you go on to more advanced work.
