Certified Tutor

I am a Spanish teacher at a local high school. I teach second year, third year, and AP students. I currently hold a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and minored in Spanish. All of these came from Arizona State University. In order to improve my Spanish, I also studied on two separate occasions in Mexico.

My current clients are high school students looking for help in order to succeed in their Spanish classes, but I am also looking for other individuals who are interested in learning the language. I am a detail oriented person who is passionate about the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking culture and I love to be able to share that with motivated learners.

I believe that my background in education and my history as a student of Spanish allows me to better understand the problems students face when learning a new language and to recognize common mistakes and pitfalls.

While I may be a teacher, I am fun-loving and laid back and like to create an environment where my students can enjoy learning the language. This is not to say that I do not take my job seriously. Education is the most important stepping-stone to success.

Finally, in my free time, I love running with my dogs, playing the guitar, watching the Arizona Cardinals, and helping my fiance plan our wedding.
