The student and I prepared for her upcoming test. We specifically worked on deciphering between quadratic, exponential and linear equations, and how to pick apart these types whether it be through a graph, table, or equation. She had a very good "sense" with these and picked up easily on patterns.

We worked on some Conic Sections problems with specific attention to Parabolas and Ellipses. We went through all the details of graphing and equations of first Parabolas and the second Ellipses. She found Ellipses to be a little easier to understand.

The student is working on Chapter 2 now, which covers linear relationships. In class they've been working on tile problems, which helps visually demonstrate a linear relationship. I explained how they worked and showed her how to convert them to an equation. I also helped her with cube roots, and we practiced solving equations.
