We went over the unit redo: simplifying fractions, adding and multiplying fractions, cross product and word problems.

We worked on limits of functions as the approached specific values and as they approached infinity. We also dealt with continuity and the different types of discontinuity. The session went well. We will continue to review in order to retain the information.

We covered graph transformations again. On this occasion, we came up with function definitions for each transformation (like up 2 units, down 3 units). We also worked on some word problems that were very helpful for his development.

The student and I covered two sections during this session. We reviewed strategies for solving distance problems. Also, we reviewed domain and range from functions. We reviewed a few sections that she had questions with.

The student had begun to work on her final exam study guide. We went through the problems that her teacher had worked out in class. Although she writes the solutions to these problems down, she does not receive time to do them on her own first to see if she knows how to do them so she worked all of them on her own and used her teacher's solutions for a guide. The study guide starts with putting equations in slope-intercept form and we got through about half of the problems, all the way to rules with exponents. This is a good review for the student and she created a list of equations and a list of rules to remember as she worked through these problems.
