Tutoring review by Candelario in College Station, TX
The student and I went over her review for an exam. The review focused almost entirely on quadratic equations: solving them using the quadratic formula, graphing them, how the graph changes if we change the function, etc. By the end of the review, she seemed to understand the concepts pretty well.

I taught her about direct and inverse variation, as well.

The student has a test coming up this week so we reviewed for that. We mainly worked on solving inequalities. He had a hard time grasping why inequalities can yield two values of x and how to split the function into two parts to evaluate both choices. He was able to solve the problems on his own as we got near the end of our session but I'm not sure he completely understood why he made each step. We will talk about that next session.
