Tutoring review by James in Powell, OH
We reviewed the student's homework over solving single step equations with addition and subtraction. We then did some extra problems to help reinforce the concept and make sure she truly understood. We then looked ahead and did some sample problems with single step multiplication and division equations.

Tutoring review by Mythilee in Powell, OH
Today was our first session together; we went through all the concepts that the student had trouble with on her last test, including working with decimals (multiplying & dividing), using divisibility rules, prime factorization, and finding GCF and LCM. We used a website her teacher recommended called IXF, which was very helpful with practice problems she needed. In addition to review from her last test, we started covering concepts from her newer lessons, which was mostly concerning protractors and angle rules. For our next session, she is going to bring home her last test so we can thoroughly go over it, as well as go over her homework for next week.

Tutoring review by Landon in Powell, OH
We reviewed for the final exam. We went over three review sheets provided by the teacher. He did a good job with the material and remembers how to do most of the problems. He should do well on the final, especially with such a nice guide given.

Tutoring review by Erik in Powell, OH
The student and I worked on his essay on the metamorphosis. He did a pretty good job shaping the story-line, but he needs to work on keeping his tenses straight. After this we did some math, and he seems to be understanding the material.

Tutoring review by Michael in Powell, OH
During today's session we reviewed a few sections and prepared for her upcoming test. We focused on functions, including inverse functions: determining them and understanding domains, understanding the nature of one-to-one and vertical/horizontal line tests. We also worked through composite functions and restrictions on domains of composite functions. Finally, we finished off the session reviewing parametric equations and understanding how to plot them, as well as determining y as a function of x.

The student brought his practice test with him, and we went through some of the problems. We dealt with redox reactions, PV=nRT, and working with a lot of different conversions and becoming comfortable with how to mathematically set up the problems. I also gave him several key points to remember when working with redox reactions.
