The student has his math exam tomorrow, so we just did some review problems today. I obtained a state-released exam from a previous year, and together, we went through as many problems in the allotted one hour. I wanted to give him a feel for the exam and the type of questions, along with the difficulty!

Tutoring review by Luke in Claremont, CA
Yesterday Student A and I corrected and he finished his homework assignment for history, and we also covered more basics of C++. I also tried to get him to practice drawing with me, because he wants to make art. I explained that the best art, even on a computer, begins with the hand stroke of a real artist, and that he must practice if he wants to make progress. Student B and I briefly reviewed some math problems. His algebra is rusty, so we will work more on his practice in the future. We also discussed how to learn to write essays, and I explained that he simply must read books to improve his English skills -- there is no other way. He seemed to comprehend the message. Have a great day!
