We worked on reading comprehension, but the book was very short and easy so that went fast and then on math. We did patterns and even and odd numbers, which the student did really well on. Had some trouble when I asked him to write a word problem with some information he was given.

Reviewed technique and approaches for all SAT material and worked questions in each area, focusing especially on being fully prepared for the essay. She seems confident and absolutely should be - she has done far more preparation than most students and knows HOW to take the test, which is incredibly important when it comes to the SAT.

The student and I worked on her preparation of a history debate for tomorrow. We identified the causes and outcomes of the 4 crusades and how these actions fit into the idea of western imperialism. Today, the student and I had our last lesson before their break. We began with math: they are working on solving for one side of a right triangle using the Pythagorean theorem. She did great on these. We then finished her social studies packet (series of questions on Greek history/geography/mythology). With our leftover time, we wrote 20 flash cards for Spanish, and drilled them 4 times, with 3 minute breaks between each drill.

The student and I reviewed a few quant questions from his homework before we turned to the end of sentence correction. He is still struggling a bit with the SC questions, so we went over a few from the homework before finishing the issues. I assigned SC 2 and quant 6 for homework. Next time, we will pick apart some of the SC problems before moving on to critical reasoning.
