About Cougar Mountain Zoo
The mission of the Cougar Mountain Zoo and Zoological Society of Washington — a 501(c)3 non-profit organization — is to increase the understanding and appreciation of the Earth’s irreplaceable wildlife and the role of humanity in nature through education, conservation, propagation, and exhibition.
About the class
Few things are more fascinating about animals than their food. That’s right, animal eating habits explain almost everything about how they look, where they live, when they sleep, and what they do. So join the animals of Cougar Mountain Zoo for an interactive exploration of how animals find and eat their meals. How do reindeer find food in the snow? Why do carnivores have such big teeth? Do all lizards eat the same things? Your newest animal friends (and their handlers at Cougar Mountain Zoo) want to show you answers to these questions and more! Bring your favorite snack while the animals show you all about theirs.
