When I graduate in May, I will have a Bachelor of Arts in English Honors, a Bachelor of Arts in Plan II Honors, a minor in Business, and a certificate in Creative Writing with an emphasis in fiction. Plan II is an interdisciplinary liberal arts honors program that specializes in liberal arts and natural sciences. Essentially, I have spent the last three years taking a multitude of classes and experiencing all sorts of fields of study. After graduation, I plan on attending law school.Aside from school, I am a member of the Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, a Counselor for Ignite Texas, and a member of a campus theatre troupe called The Broccoli Project.I love to learn and am a big believer in enjoying getting an education.I am very patient, but also firm in the sense that I want to make sure that every student is not only able to get the right answer, but is also able to understand how to continuously get the right answer. My goal in helping students is to help them understand the processes behind math/science concepts and techniques, rather than just aid in finding an answer. After all, mathematics is the numerical explanation of the universe (and science can be seen as applied math), and giving life and meaning to abstract concepts will do more than just earn a student a better grade. It will help them develop problem-solving skills they will need throughout their academic careers. This is why I find math (and other engineering-related fields such as physics and programming) so enjoyable; all of these subjects boil down to developing creative problem-solving skills. Even if a student isn't pursuing a STEM-related field, they can utilize these skills and apply them to other areas.Outside of my academics, I enjoy rocketry, playing the French horn, listening to classical music, and building/fixing computers, namely.

For my AP Research paper, I studied linguistic relativity, which is the idea that language affects thought.
