I'm a University of Texas at Austin graduate with a BSA in Biochemistry. My favorite subjects to tutor are math and science, specifically, I excel at Biology, Chemistry, and any math courses up to Multivariable Calculus. My teaching philosophy is that an excellent teacher should show students where to look, and allow them the opportunity to make realizations and learn. As a person I'm very calm and collected, this shows in my teaching style as I'm extremely patient and have no issues repeating key concepts or explaining things in a different manner.Outside of academics, I enjoy playing tennis, having played at the varsity level at my high school, and more recently I've become interested in Ultimate frisbee. I played two years during my college career and was the captain for one of those years, and still often play at a recreational level.Hopefully, I can help you understand those few things that are giving you a hard time today!

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. My goal in helping students is to help them understand the processes behind math/science concepts and techniques, rather than just aid in finding an answer. After all, mathematics is the numerical explanation of the universe (and science can be seen as applied math), and giving life and meaning to abstract concepts will do more than just earn a student a better grade. It will help them develop problem-solving skills they will need throughout their academic careers. This is why I find math (and other engineering-related fields such as physics and programming) so enjoyable; all of these subjects boil down to developing creative problem-solving skills. Even if a student isn't pursuing a STEM-related field, they can utilize these skills and apply them to other areas.Outside of my academics, I enjoy rocketry, playing the French horn, listening to classical music, and building/fixing computers, namely.

I am currently a freshman majoring in International Relations and Global Studies at University of Texas at Austin and a graduate of Singapore American School. I learned French after attending a local school in France, and in my sophomore year, I received a 5 on AP French. For Chinese, I completed the highest level of HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test). Additionally, as a member of both Chinese Honor Society and French Honor Society, I have tutored high school and middle school students in both languages. While I mainly tutor French and Chinese, Im also interested in tutoring for AP Capstone (AP Seminar and AP Research). For my AP Research paper, I studied linguistic relativity, which is the idea that language affects thought. Whether it be tutoring languages or research, I believe that it is most important to have the students goal in mind. In my free time, I like to draw and run.
