I hope to work in the media field in the future, then possibly achieve my MBA and go onto receive my Juris Doctorate in Business Law. When I can, I squeeze in an early morning work out. I took this job as a way to make some supplemental income to pay off student loan debts and work towards my future degrees. I will have my Portuguese Water Dog puppy Bruno (who is 4 months old) who I would like to train as a therapy dog to assist me within job as he has outstanding patience for those who do not have the confidence in themselves to go above and beyond in the classroom when it comes to academia.I look forward to helping your child succeed in any way possible!

I've always loved school and learning. At the core of my teaching philosophy is the idea that anyone can learn anything, so long as the instructor is willing to teach to the student's style of learning. Most subjects came easily to me, but I hit a wall with math in middle school and just never seemed to be able to get it to 'click.' Then, I had a very patient teacher who helped me figure out how I could learn math, and it was like the wall crashed down. I would love to see every teacher have to teach his or her worst subject for a couple of years, in order to figure out how to become a better instructor.

I am a Live Artist, critical writer, and poet. I hold a BA in English Writing with an emphasis on poetry from the University of Pittsburgh. In September 2014, I successfully completed an MA in Performance & Visual Practices from the University of Brighton, UK. From 2007-2013, I taught full time conversational English classes at a public middle school in Seoul, South Korea. While I am comfortable tutoring a range of subjects, I am most passionate about Critical & Cultural Theory, Creative & Critical Writing, Performance Studies, and Theatre. I have developed an effective method of developing students' expository essay writing skills, and it is so rewarding to see students' pride in their personal improvement. In addition to teaching in an in person and virtual general education setting grades PreK-6, I have also taught social-emotional and character development courses for theater students ages 5 through college. I recently was a head teacher of a summer school program for 4th grade English Language Learners to review ELA and Math content from the previous year. I have done 1-1 virtual and in person reading and writing tutoring throughout the last year combining hand-written work and online resources. While I love working with students of all ages, my passion lies with students at the elementary level.
