About Me

I am a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education for English. I worked mainly with eleventh grade students as a student teacher. After graduating, I lived and worked in Germany for five years. During that time, I worked with non-native English speakers of all ages, helping them to improve their English for reasons that ranged from work, to education, to travel. I believe that education should be collaborative, because people learn best when they have a say in how the learning process works. For that reason, at the start of our sessions together, I will work together with the student to create a learning plan to meet the student's needs in the way that works best for them as an individual. I am a kind, patient and approachable teacher, and I excel at helping students build confidence in their abilities. I enjoy teaching ESL, and I also have always had a passion for writing. Whatever your needs, if they are English-related, I am ready to help.
