I am currently working toward my Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management. In my previous tutoring experience, I've worked with students of ages ranging from 10 to 18. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, my favorite to teach are Math, Chemistry, Physics, and Test Prep, because they provide the greatest problem solving challenges. I enjoy working through difficult problems with students, because I believe that with the right guidance, they are universally capable of rising to the challenge. Outside of academics, I enjoy dancing, listening to music, and photography.

Learning is the ultimate adventure. However, we all get mired down along the way.My goal is to help students to overcome hurdles on journey.There are facts that need to be communicated. There are misconceptions to be ironed out. But in the end, the point of every session is inspiration.

During my time in graduate school, I taught university level general chemistry and analytical chemistry courses and laboratories and have helped hundreds of students understand and apply a wide range of concepts and tools to better understand both practical and theoretical problems in and outside of the laboratory. The key is to build off of what you know and work in steps to understand each problem and how to solve it. I think being able to relate a problem back to what you already know is the best way to understand difficult concepts or problems, and I will use that along with the knowledge and skills I've gained over the ten plus years I have been studying chemistry to help you in any way I can. In my free time I enjoy playing video games, board games, watching college football, NFL football, anime, manga, and sci fi.

I have graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in Space Physics! I have been a chemistry laboratory teaching assistant for three years and four months. On top of that, since I have been exposed to higher level physics classes, I have assisted fellow colleagues with physics, chemistry, and math problems.I tutor for math, chemistry, and physics subjects. I have a couple of favorite subjects that I like to tutor. One of them is chemistry. I had the opportunity to be exposed to chemistry all throughout my undergraduate career, so I have grown an appreciation towards the subject and what it entails. The reason why I love it so much, is because we get to discover what happens on a molecular level just by looking at the chemical equations. Which ions attract to one another to form that precipitate or what molecule is that produced gas composed of? I also favor physics because we can explain the natural phenomena through equations. To make the mysterious less unknown, has a wonder in itself.Being able to help students recognize the wonder of learning and how things happen the way they do is one of the reasons why I love teaching. Everyone learns differently, so I try to assist a student first by getting to know how they like to learn, whether that is by taking notes, visually, or through word of mouth.I have been quite busy during my undergraduate career, so free time was limited. When I did have free time however, I enjoyed de-stressing myself through getting my body moving. I would play tennis, go for a run, go hiking, or work out. I was very keen on adventure so often times I would drive around my college town and have the pleasure of stumbling upon a road that would overlook all of Prescott. I appreciate the little things that life has to offer and any relaxing break from studying was welcomed.

In addition to my Biology coursework, I successfully completed two years worth of chemistry coursework, including general chemistry one and two, and organic chemistry one and two. I love sharing what I have learned with my students! I enjoy learning and teaching about living things in particular, but all areas of science are of great interest to me. I believe learning should be enjoyable, and difficult concepts can be broken down into smaller segments. Utilizing visuals and sharing learning strategies with my students are some of the most effective ways to help them succeed at any task! After that I followed my passion for automobiles(they are more similar than people think). I worked as a repairer until 2017. I was a substitute Teacher in Illinois from 2001-2005. I am, at present, an active Substitute teacher in Georgia. I want to spend the rest of my working life helping others realize their opportunities for success. I did begin a post-bac teacher certification program at Chicago State University. Completing that is my next goal.I believe everyone can understand math and science. While I was in college, I worked a full time job. I would run into many rodblocks, and there would be no clear solutions. I would be very frustrated if I didn't understand the subject, and, a lot of times, there was no one there to help me. The key is to keep trying and don't give up. Mostly, don't be afraid to ask a question. And if you don't get an answer, ask someone else.I believe patience and attentiveness will be my most important tools in helping others succeed.

Watching how you respond to a question shows me how much of the problem you already know how to solve, and what parts are still difficult.
