It is my personal belief that engagement with is the first step towards mastery of a subject. Consequently, I strive to create a stress-free environment where my students and I can have fun learning together. Students enjoy my fun and easy-going style even as I challenge them to solve problems through their own critical reasoning. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than when a student tells me "I'm really starting to enjoy learning about this," because in my experience, this is a preliminary step towards personal ownership of their academic pursuits. Guardians value my commitment to their student's education, my effectiveness in enhancing their scholarly capabilities, and my reliability. Students appreciate that I connect with them directly, treat them with respect, and ultimately help them see that authentic learning is exciting, fun, and possible.
