I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

My interests in mathematics, physics, and astronomy have been crucial in my excellent performance on standardized tests as well as my broad undergraduate physics experience. It is my interests that keep me motivated, so I believe that it is important to make problems interesting or relevant to students, even if they do not consider themselves 'math people.' I value the humanities as well, and it is my experience as a guitar student and instructor that makes my approach to tutoring unique and valuable to students. My interests extend to philosophy and history of science, and even ecology! This diversity allows me to draw useful analogies for the student while building an understanding of a given problem from the ground up. My goal is simple: to continue this building process until the student's stated goal is achieved.
