I earned a BS in Astronomy and a BS in Physics cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2015. I am currently working toward a PhD in Astrophysics at the University of Michigan (I am in my second year). I began tutoring math, science, reading, and social studies in high school and continued tutoring math and astronomy/physics in college. I have 3 years of experience as a teaching assistant for astronomy as well. I tutor math from elementary school up to early college level, as well as high school and undergraduate physics. My favorite subject to tutor is pre-calculus. I love calculus, and I really enjoy helping people learn the foundation that they will rely on when learning the subject. As a tutor, I believe strongly in positive reinforcement, and frequently remind my students that failure is a natural (and critical) part of the learning process. Outside of academic pursuits, I love to play music (piano, cello, guitar, and occasionally violin), cook and bake, crochet, travel, and practice yoga.
