I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College, and my primary area of expertise is teaching children how to read. I strongly believe in the science of reading and use explicit instruction to build phonemic and phonological awareness, phonics and decoding skills, and ultimately fluency and comprehension. By breaking reading into small steps and giving students focused practice and feedback, I help them grow in confidence, accuracy, and independence as readers.
