About Me

My name is Dr. Angela Kennedy (Dr. K.), and I am certified to teach French and English to students in grades 6-12. Additionally, I help students prepare for the ACT, placing special emphasis on the English and reading components. For the past five years, I have also tutored students in grades 3-10 in the content areas of math and reading. I strive to create engaging lessons, tailored to meet the needs of the individual learner. I encourage students to make connections between the subject matter and their everyday lives. I believe in the power of fundamentals, and I use creative memory techniques to facilitate learning, especially in the area of language acquisition. I want to help my students not only succeed but also unlock a new appreciation for learning. I love to attend football and basketball games --- watching on tv is the next best option. I love to read and crochet. My family, friends, and students tell me that they LOVE my French macaron cookies. Yummy!
