About Me

My passion for education began with my struggles learning to read and write. Overcoming those challenges showed me the life-changing power of learning, and I've been committed to helping others experience that same growth ever since. For over 20 years, I've supported learners through personalized instruction in literacy and creative writing, both in group and one-on-one settings. I've also trained staff in corporate environments, which strengthened my ability to break down complex information in clear, practical ways. As a parent of two sons, including one with Down syndrome, I also homeschooled for several yearsan experience that taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and individualized learning. I specialize in tutoring reading, writing, and creative writingsubjects I love because they help students find their voice and build confidence. As a published writer of nonfiction, inspirational works, and fiction, I bring both professional insight and creative enthusiasm to every session.
