I graduated from the State University of NY at Oneonta with a bachelor's degree in education. I earned my masters in literacy from Longwood University in Virginia. I hold a current license as a teacher for grades PK-8, with an endorsement as a reading specialist. I also hold certification as a National Board Certified Teacher, as well as training in Orton-Gillingham instructional methodology. I strongly believe that each child is unique and able to learn. It is up to me as an educator to help find the strategies that enable your child to master new skills. I listen and observe what your child can do and and us that information to assess what your child is ready to learn. Then I provide instruction in a patient and kind manner until your child is proficient. Finding ways to help your child learn is my profession and my passion.
