About Me
I have been teaching and tutoring mathematics and science for the past 30 years because I completely enjoy hearing my students say, "I get it!". I believe that education should be available and accessible to all people; I like to meet you where you are and build on what you already know. My simple, yet effective, teaching style breaks down the processes that most people dread and allows the learner to feel empowered and confident. After my graduation from the University of Portland, majoring in mathematics and education. I taught middle and high school math and science for 20 years. I have been a substitute teacher for the past 5 years, teaching all levels of many subjects. I also have been working on my masters of public health with Walden University, with a focus on biostatistics and epidemiology. I enjoy quilting, crafting, gardening and baking in my spare time.
Hobbies & Interests
Quilting, baking, cooking, gardening and I enjoy spending time with my family in my mountain home.
