About Me

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside, and am currently working on my Master's in engineering from George Mason University. I work full-time as a software engineer, and have been tutoring in my spare time for about 4 years. Most of the students I work with are in high school or college, with math subjects being the most common topics I teach. I have experience teaching Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Calculus, along with computer science and physics. As result, STEM classes are my strong suit, and my engineering background and career support my teaching. Usually when I tutor, I incorporate collaboration into problem solving, and have students involved in working through problems. For instance, if I was teaching a physics problem, I would have the student set up the problem on their own before stepping in to teach. This helps students understand topics on a conceptual level, instead of just being given the answer.
