About Me

I have a Bachelor of Arts from Ray College of Design-Ray Vogue, The Illinois Institute of Art. I work as an Art Educator and a reading tutor with over ten years of tutoring experience. I constantly attend seminars and educational courses such as on neuroscience or dyslexia to broaden my knowledge of new learning techniques and to have a deeper understanding of my students' difficulties. I finished high school in Greece, majoring in ancient Greek and philosophy, which is why today I also teach Greek as a second language and etymology to students at all levels. Passionate about working with youth and adult learners, I help with homework and teach reading to K-12 students from diverse educational, racial, economic, geographic, and cultural backgrounds. I know how to motivate their learning and encourage them to live up to their true potential. Strong commitment to enhancing and supporting education. Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills. I foster a positive learning environment by encouraging students to develop individual skills. I specialize in 1:1 and group instruction, team collaboration, and relations with students, parents, and support staff. As a mother of three, I know how to intervene with challenging student behavior. I cater to the cognitive needs of all students.
