About Me

I am a graduate of Grand Canyon University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a dual Major of Special Education. I graduated at the top of my class, Summa Cum Laude. I am a very passionate educator who works to bring forth a sense of accomplishment and confidence in learning to each student who I gain the privilege of teaching. I hold a TESOL certification to teach people who speak another language other than English to acquire English as their second language. I have experience working with children from ages 4 through age 16. I firmly believe that education is a critical part of living life well. Knowledge is power and I really enjoy helping my students learn to understand this idea. In my spare time I like to paint, craft, sew, go hiking with my family and our puppies, and take lots of pictures. I have found that being a creative individual has helped me to feel fulfilled in my life and has carried into my teaching style and the way I interact with my students.
