I am not present. While I will provide help along the way, guiding a student to build up his/her own skills to be able to understand these questions on his/her own and feel confident while taking tests is my ultimate goal.

I am a graduate of Rockhurst University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in English Literature. Upon graduating, I became certified to teach both elementary education (grades 1-6) and English Language Arts (grades 5-9) in the state of Missouri. I have spent the past two years teaching seventh grade reading and writing, and I have loved every minute of it! Not only do I love helping my students understand new concepts in my subject areas, but I also really enjoy sharing literature, both classics and new fiction, with them in hopes it will foster a love of reading. I believe in the power of literature to spark critical thinking and help students make meaningful connections to their lives and the lives of others. It may come as no surprise that one of my chief hobbies is reading; I try to read fifty new novels every year, many of which I can then recommend to my students! I tutor a broad range of subjects, most notably English, Literature, and ACT/SAT Test Preparations, but regardless of what I am tutoring, my teaching philosophy and style stems from building relationships with my students. While I have a great innate desire to help the next generation learn and succeed, I realize that the first step to doing so is getting to know my students and their individual needs. Only then can I create truly meaningful, relevant, and applicable lessons and tutoring sessions that will help them learn and grow. My passion is to help students realize their potential as life-long learners and help them succeed as they navigate their educational paths.

I am an undergraduate at Washington University, and I grew up in Columbus, Ohio. Math has always been one of my favorite subjects. I love Pre-algebra, Calculus, Linear Algebra and everything in between! I have tutored for about four years and have worked with students of all ages. Most students come to me for Math, but I have also worked with students on SAT and ACT test prep, Statistics and Physics. Everyone learns in a slightly different way, and I love figuring out the best way to teach something to people individually and dig down to what questions they really need to have answered to understand the material. In my spare time, I like to go on long bike rides and explore St. Louis's restaurants. I also love baking, playing with dogs and cats, watching movies with my friends and playing soccer.

I am an experienced educator with a strong background in both the sciences and languages. I earned my bachelor's degree from Boston University, double-majoring in Biology (with a focus on ecology and conservation biology) and Hispanic Language and Literatures. I also hold a Master of Arts in Teaching in the Biological Sciences from Miami University. For over a decade, I was an international educator in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I taught English as a second language to students of all ages and led the natural sciences department for a large bilingual elementary school. I now teach middle school science at a private school in the U.S. I tutor a wide range of subjects, and I am passionate about helping students gain confidence in areas where they've struggled. I love seeing students begin to enjoy subjects they once found too difficult or tedious. My goal is to provide patient, personalized support that helps every learner recognize their strengths and build lasting academic skills.

Hola! Mucho gusto! I am a Spanish and Biology tutor with more than three years of tutoring experience currently living in Panama City, Panama. I teach beginner and intermediate Spanish, focusing on developing conversational and grammatical skills in a variety of real-life contexts. I enjoy developing personalized lessons to match each student's needs. My goal is for my students to be able to face any Spanish-related challenge with confidence, so I teach a wide variety of topics to help my students gain practical experience speaking Spanish. I graduated from Harding University with my degree in Biochemistry in May of 2026. I love biology and have experience tutoring a variety of high school and college biology classes. My research focus is on the role of microglial cells in neurodegenerative diseases. On a personal note, I spend much of my free time making art, traveling, and spending time with my family.

As a current Political Science student at the University of Michigan, I am passionate about empowering students to achieve their academic goals through tailored tutoring in subjects like Public Speaking, Algebra, AP English, and U.S. Government. I am a BS/MS student at Columbia University studying Electrical engineering and also following the premed curriculum. After my undergraduate, I hope to pursue an MD-PhD and work in a teaching/research hospital as a physician-engineer.

I am a recent college graduate currently pursuing a career in publishing in New York City. I am a Yale graduate with over 8 years experience tutoring students from a variety of backgrounds. I recently graduated from the Yale School of Public Health with a MPH concentrating in Epidemiology and Global Health. I also received my B.S. from Yale with a double major in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and French. I have experience both leading group classes and working with students one on one. I will respond to a student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style in order to help them succeed and make the most of our time together. I'm Dennis. I study physics, math, and computer science. I have done research about cosmic ray acceleration at supernova shock fronts in the Princeton University Department of Astrophysics, simulating how the turbulent plasmas push protons and ions. I have also worked at the Norfolk State University Department of Engineering, designing, simulating, optimizing, and building light filters for wavelength-division optical-electronic multiplexers. Another field I study is the mathematics of quasicrystals and aperiodic tilings, such as the Penrose tiling of rhombuses.

I am currently studying chemical engineering at the University of Michigan. I have always helped out my fellow students with schoolwork, and I have tutored in the National Honor Society for three years. My tutoring strengths include my abilities to stay calm, be patient, and offer different perspectives on the learning process. I do not just help my students learn the material, but I also teach them how to learn it. I tutor math and test prep courses. Outside of school and tutoring, I play the piano. I have played classical piano for 13 years and jazz piano for 7.

I am a second year law student at the University of Chicago who hails from the San Francisco Bay Area! I tutor the SAT, ESL, and Spanish. I was an AVID tutor in high school, and after college I taught an ESL class and tutored a high school student in Spanish. In law school, I am involved with the Lawyers in the Classroom program. My tutoring philosophy is based on listening to students work through problems and helping them to spot their confusions or incorrect assumptions. I believe students learn much better when they aren't simply told the right answer or right reasoning; they need to get there on their own.

I'm referring to math, of course, but I didn't always like the subject. Until about age 16, I thought of math as a boring, mind-numbing process of blindly memorizing formulas and then forgetting them after the test, but a series of wonderful teachers showed me the truth. I had thought that everything in math was invented arbitrarily just to torture students, but actually it all made sense in a deep way. When I caught a glimpse of what math really was, I found it irresistible and I ended up majoring in math in college at UChicago. I'm currently a Master's student in Computer Science at NYU.

I am a graduate from Georgetown University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics with a minor in Music. I'm currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Business Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University. I've been tutoring since I started high school, focusing on mathematics and writing. Throughout my college career I was employed both privately and by Georgetown University to tutor peers and high school students in the Washington, D.C. area. I worked with students taking classes in all levels of mathematics falling under Algebra, Calculus, Combinatorics, and Problem Solving.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I am also a graduate of the high school International Baccalaureate Program. I have informal experience tutoring high school physics, but am most passionate about tutoring students for the ACT standardized test, having had extensive experience preparing for standardized tests throughout high school.
