Hi there! I'm Sasha and I am a former high school biology teacher and MBA graduate who is excited to help you find success and enjoyment in your biology, chemistry, or math class or SAT II Subject Test. I taught high school biology at a public high school in New Jersey for three years and really enjoyed working with students. Additionally, I've had success on the SAT and the GMAT exams, and look forward to sharing my tips and tricks with students or business school applicants who are gearing up for these exams. Finally, having worked with a wide range of students, including many with IEPs or Section 504 accomodations, I have lots of strategies and ideas to help students who learn differently master content and can also help students who could use some extra support in their organizational and study skills.I'm available on weekday evenings and at most times on Saturday and Sunday. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you think I could help you or your student. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Becoming a physician was no easy feat, and neither were all those years of school and standardized tests along the way! But I didn't do it alone. I had tutors help me every step of the way. Not only did they help me to boost my grades, but they provided me with academic confidence and mentoring, all of which made me realize that my greatest goals could be a tangible reality. Now I couldn't be happier in my career as a surgeon in training.I have ever since been "paying it forward," educating high school and college level students, and now medical students. The greatest satisfaction is seeing my students get that "ah ha!" moment when everything comes together, and then seeing them go on to accomplish what they always thought was impossible. Now that I have some free time while doing research, I'm excited to give students that same confidence and mentorship that my tutors gave me.

Everyone has a particular learning style and method by which retaining information becomes effortless. Finding that gem is the key- and this is where having a tutor can really help you excel. Often students do not have as much difficulty understanding a topic, if only it is presented in a manner they personally can digest.I believe that we all have the potential to do great things, in our studies, our personal lives, and in the lives of others- we just have to take that initiative. Taking the initiative to seek a tutor to assist in your educational goals requires dedication and courage. As a physician who has had extensive educational experience, I am very passionate about learning, teaching, and helping others.I look forward to helping you grow, unlock your full potential and surpass your goals!A little information about myself- Native to Seattle, WA but have lived and traveled all over- Received undergraduate degree in Biology with minor in Spanish and Biochemistry- Completed medical school and pediatric residency- Currently am undergoing specialized fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine- Interests in teaching/education, hiking, dancing, and trying new things (including food).

I am a current dental student at Oregon Health and Science University. I graduated cum laude from the University of Oregon with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. I have a lot of experience tutoring biology, biochemistry, anatomy, and physiology at the college level as well as working with students of all ages with math, science, and English. I love creating an interactive learning environment where the student and I work together towards solving problems rather than just lecturing. I feel the best way to learn something is to do it, and I hope that we can work together towards understanding rather than memorization. Whatever the topic, I hope to be a resource that you can utilize to truly excel.

I recently completed my junior year at the University of Pittsburgh, where I am pursuing degrees in Bioengineering and Economics. I am currently taking some time off from my studies to learn the ins and outs of the biomedical industry by working a Co-op in pharmaceutical engineering. While I have held several tutoring positions, my favorite experience was when I designed an interactive obstacle course demonstrating the functions of the adaptive immune system as part of the Pitt Tissue Engineering Summer Camps Initiative. The obstacle course contained everything from NERF guns to secret handshakes and is emblematic of my tutoring philosophy: I always encourage my students to visualize the course material in creative ways that stretch beyond the classroom. While I tutor numerous subjects, my personal favorites are Economics and Physiology. In my free time you'll find me running, playing soccer, reading (everything from Harry Potter to Khalil Gibran), or shooting hoops on the basketball court. One of my future goals is to ride my bike across the USA from my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio to the Pacific Ocean.

I am really passionate about teaching biology and writing. I love exploring out in nature: in forests, meadows, and underwater. My college degree is in Biology, and currently I am pursuing a Masters degree in Integrative Medicine Research.Throughout the past 7 years of tutoring/teaching, students often compliment me for explaining concepts easier than their teachers. The best tutors are those who have a true passion for the subject and not someone who just have good grades (although I have both!). I want to help if you are confused, lost, or overwhelmed with all the information you have to know. When I teach, I like to be clear and organized, so I can effectively guide you through the complex concepts rather than let all the information boggle you down.I like lists because long paragraphs just become a messy pile of words.Snowboarding, photography, scuba diving, and hiking are all fun things I like to do!

I am a graduate of Boston University (BU) as of 2012, and I recently graduated from Tufts University in 2014. I have received my Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering from BU, and I have earned my Masters of Science degree in the same field at Tufts. I currently work as a research scientist in Cambridge studying therapies for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. My tutoring experience stems from my involvement in the National Honor Society at Xaverian Brothers High School where I tutored Freshman and Sophomore classes in our mathematics and science, specifically Algebra, Calculus and Biology. Furthermore, after being inducted in the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society at BU, I led tutoring sessions specifically geared to Engineering principles such as mechanics, physics, and mathematics. As an engineer, my favorite subjects to study are High School to College Mathematics as well as the Sciences (Physics, Chemisty, Biology) because it gives the mind a great workout! I am a generally upbeat and motivated individual which is essentially translated to my tutoring strategies; if you can somehow make the subject engaging, the more chances the student will want to learn the material! I enjoy that "A-ha!" moment when the student fully and finally understands a concept! In my spare time, I am a competitive ballroom dancer, theater aficionado and a scientific researcher in biomedical engineering!

I am a current junior at Rutgers University as a Presidential Scholar, majoring in Biomedical Engineering (BME). I graduated from Biotechnology High School in the Monmouth County Vocational School District, where I believe I learned all the fundamental study skills to carry me successfully through my following years to come. When I obtain my B.S. from Rutgers, I plan to go on and eventually get a Master's and Ph.D.My favorite and strongest subjects are math and the sciences. Because of my background in high school and major in college, I have plenty of experience with Calculus I through IV, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. I love helping students in math and science and it gives me a sense of satisfaction to see other people succeed. As the eldest of three I've helped my younger siblings in their studies and primarily use examples and analogies that they can understand and relate to in order to help them.Besides math and science, a few other things I love are research in my lab, football, basketball, comic books (especially Spider-Man and the rest of Marvel), and mixed martial arts.

I have worked with students ranging from the 3rd grade to Undergraduate coursework. I love helping students of all ages as I am passionate about the topics I love to tutor. I received by B.S. in Life Sciences, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University. I am currently a fourth year medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix pursuing my M.D. Some of the subjects I tutor include Biology, Microbiology, Physiology, Life Sciences, Pharmacology, MCAT Biological Sciences, Graduate Test Prep and Cell Biology. Some of my favorite subjects to tutor would have to be MCAT Biological sciences and Life Sciences. These subjects are near and dear to me as I recently (2011) took the MCAT exam for entrance into medical school and my undergraduate major was in Life Sciences. I enjoy engaging with students and helping to lead them to the correct answer and understanding of concepts through a question and answer process. Outside of school I love to hike, bike, and golf. You can typically find me outdoors on a day off!
