I am a sophomore at Howard University studying political science on a pre-law track. Preparing for college can be stressful, especially when it comes to essay writing. I know all too well the pressures associated with applying for your dream schools. My passion for English, literature, and writing has allowed me to be of great help to my peers, and many students in moments of "writers block" or even proof reading. I am also very well versed on productive ways to study that can be catered to your personal learning habits. I am knowledgeable in tutoring students in general education courses at the pre-high school level, but I find that I relate best to students who are entering their final years in high school preparing for college. I believe that college is all about creating your own story. From the moment you declare your area of study, to the moment you receive your diploma, you are entirely responsible for your own journey. This can be scary for a lot of students, but I believe that with the right tools, guidance, and knowledge you can make college the most fruitful learning experience that it was intended to be. I believe in acquiring education from wherever and whenever. 2017 marked the year of biggest achievement when I completed my MBBS degree followed by the completion of Masters in Public Health in 2021. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Communication Studies with a majors in Health Communications. Apart from that, I have a teaching and tutoring experience for almost a decade now and why I believe in tutoring lies in the fact that it enhances our skills, provides us a mentor who can help us progress and this two way process of one to one learning creates a connection beneficial for students in their academic and professional growth. The academic program which I possess makes me an expert to teach subjects like Biology, Science, Public Speaking and basic Mathematics. I am an undergraduate at Georgetown University, working to receive my Bachelor of Sciences in Foreign Service with a focus on culture and politics. I am minoring in Art History. Throughout college and in high school, I have tutored children within the United States and globally, usually ages elementary school to high school. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Spanish, test prep, Writing, and History. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
