I have a MEd in Secondary English Education, a Masters in Literature, and 15+ years of tutoring or teaching experience. I believe we all need to find our WHY. Mine is to help students who struggle with English and school. I teach students reading and writing skills, but I also teach them to find the joy in education that is often lost when they struggle.

I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in 2008, the oldest English speaking acting conservatory in the world. I graduated Summa from University of St Thomas with a BA in English, and just wrapped up a MS in Data Science from Northwestern.I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.

Hello! I am a native of western Pennsylvania. This is where I grew up, attended high school, and began my college career. I completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Pittsburgh in 2011. I left Pittsburgh to attend the University of Chicago, from which I graduated in 2013. I stayed in Chicago to teach at the college level for 2.5 years, before returning to the Pittsburgh area. Underlying my academic experience is my passion for education. I am a first-generation college graduate (or as I like to call it, an "academic immigrant"). This means that I've learned on my own, and often the hard way, about the ins and outs of higher education, so I can understand how challenging - and truly rewarding - it can be. A solid education is as important today as ever, and it really can change your world for the better. I look forward to hearing from you and helping with your studies!

I am currently an undergraduate student at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am a double major in integrative biology and behavioral neuroscience, and I am hoping to become a neurologist.I have four years of tutoring experience in varying subjects such as literature, math, science, and ACT prep. I have tutored kids of all ages and am familiar with different tutoring methods for each age group. More than that, what qualifies me for this job is that I am passionate about education. I have had a very successful school career, and I want to share that with all students. Education is empowering, and every student deserves to feel intelligent.Outside of tutoring and college, I love to read. I'm a big fan of fantasy novels and Harry Potter, but I also like classics such as Dickens' books. I play French Horn and flute, and this summer I am teaching myself to play violin. I also dabble in photography, specifically landscapes. I don't play any sport competitively anymore but I do play recreational tennis and badminton.

As an undergrad I studied an overview of the Great Books literature of the west (from the ancient Greek philosophers to pre-modern writers). Some of my favorite authors are British.I've had experience teaching in public and private school settings, elementary through high school. I'm currently homeschooling my two kids and have daily experience in motivating and encouraging students to learn. With questions, patience and a sense of humor, I'm able to dispel confusion and help them understand the material. I will do the same for you and your student!

Math major at the University of Georgia with a 3.8 GPA. I am a certified math teacher for grades 6-12 and can teach virtually any math subject with tremendous knowledge in each area. I worked as a math tutor to fellow college students while attending UGA and have tutored math since my graduation in May 2016. After studying the student at the beginning of a session I adapt my teaching style to best for that particular student. I get along with everyone and just want my students to do the best they can.

I have worked as a classroom teacher and online tutor, tutoring students from around the globe in English and ESL. I am also a published author of historical fiction.
