Above all, this is what I most love about tutoring and teaching.I was working towards my chemical engineering degree at McGill University when I realized I wanted to pursue something more complementary towards my outgoing personality and of all my experiences, I have most enjoyed working with and educating others - especially in math- so I feel as though this is a great opportunity to move back into that field. As I've worked through my hurdles, I've picked up a lot of tips and tricks and I now know how to deal with unique challenges in a standardized system. I am also well versed in the Python programming language.In the past I have worked with college students struggling in early mathematics courses such as trigonometry, algebra and elementary statistics. While at my university I also worked with adult students pursuing a GED.Ultimately, mathematics is not about memorizing formulas but about the logical process of arriving at a conclusion. Ideally, my job will consist of reminding the student of the tools at their disposal and they will make the leap themselves towards their desired answer. This ability to think about problems is not limited to mathematics and, if mastered, will stay with the student for the rest of their lives.Aside from mathematics I enjoy playing my piano. My research touches on the interactions between math and theoretical computer science, as well as number theory (largely the study of prime numbers). I've taught courses ranging from basic arithmetic up through linear algebra and multivariable calculus. The second most exciting thing about mathematics is that moment when something totally opaque and confusing suddenly solidifies into crystal clarity. It's the sort of moment that makes you shout "aha!" or "eureka!". The most exciting thing about mathematics is sharing that experience with someone else.

I also have numerous machine learning projects with Python/Jupyter Notebook and explore my passion through tackling new data problems every day.
