Im a passionate educator with over 2 years of experience in both tutoring and classroom settings, specializing in AP Psychology, Psychology, and Public Speaking. In the college classroom I have taught Intro to Psychology and Psychopathology (Abnormal Psychology) and really loved engaging with the wide range of students from adult learners to high school students in the early college program. As an educator, I believe in the importance of fostering a supportive so students feel empowered to be open with where they are at and explore complex concepts. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet each student's unique needs, utilizing interactive methods that encourage critical thinking and personal connection to the material with my 20 years of industry experience. Witnessing my students grow in confidence and understanding is very rewarding, and I am committed to helping them form and achieve their academic goals. I am a doctoral candidate for Psychology, my MS is in Engineering, and my BS is in Geology. In my free time, I enjoy reading and exploring new places, which I often bring into my tutoring sessions to inspire curiosity and discussion.
