Education is the key to success, and my passion is helping every student discover their potential. I earned my PhD in Educational Leadership from Capella University, an MBA in Business Administration/Management from Butler University, and a BS in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. With over 20 years of experience in education, finance, and tutoring, I have helped students build confidence in reading, phonics, academic skills, business, and Microsoft Office.
My tutoring style is student-centered, patient, and supportive. I utilize scaffoldingbreaking down concepts into smaller steps and gradually reducing support until the student can work independently. I believe in meeting each student where they are, tailoring instruction to their learning style, and making lessons engaging by connecting them to real-life examples. My favorite moments are when students have those "light bulb" breakthroughs and recognize their own progress.

Outside of academia, I enjoy reading, cooking, entertaining, and traveling, which allow me to connect with students on a personal level and bring creativity into my teaching. I strive not only to teach concepts but also to inspire a love of learning, ensuring that each student feels motivated, supported, and equipped for long-term success.
