Certified Tutor

I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals. I believe each and every student has the capacity to learn and master the skill they currently struggle with. As a public elementary school teacher, I have experience working with students from various backgrounds and abilities. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and I am currently certified in the state of Florida. I am comfortable with all subject areas, but my preferred subjects to teach are Language Arts and Math. I like to teach by engaging the students first, and then once I have their attention, I like to make it as interactive as I possibly can. I like to do quick knowledge checks during instruction to prevent students becoming disengaged due to confusion. I don't mind going back in the lesson to reteach when necessary. If one approach isn't working, another one will. I like teaching at the pace the student learns.
