Hi, I am Laura, a physician who enjoys tutoring as much as I love providing healthcare. As a passionate educator with over 5 years of tutoring experience, I hold a master's degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of South Florida and a bachelor's in medicine and surgery. I specialize in teaching medical subjects including but not limited to USMLE Steps, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology and Clinical Medicine. In addition, I am opening to teaching analytical writing and verbal Reasoning sections of the GRE and college application essays.
My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to engage deeply with the material. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet each student's unique needs, ensuring they develop both confidence and competence. My commitment to helping students achieve academic success drives my passion for tutoring, and I find joy in witnessing their growth and accomplishments. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and exploring the latest advancements in medical research, which enriches my teaching and connects me further with my students.
