Dana: Lower East Side tutor
Certified Tutor
I recently completed my M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, after graduating summa cum laude with my BA in honors Cognitive Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in psychology, research methods, and writing, and I also bring years of experience studying French language and culture. My long-term goal is to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical or Social Psychology, so that I have my own lab in which I conduct psychology research and mentor college and graduate students.
As a tutor, I strive to help students build their confident and truly enjoy the learning process. I meet students where they are, tailoring each session to their unique goals and learning style, while creating an encouraging and motivating environment. While I tutor a range of subjects, I am especially excited to work with students in psychology and French, as these are areas where I can combine my expertise with my enthusiasm for teaching.
Outside of tutoring, I work in psychology research labs studying topics like social anxiety, family dynamics, and PTSD. In my free time, I enjoy sports, singing, and playing board games with friends.
I look forward to helping students reach their academic goals and develop the confidence to excel both in and out of the classroom!

In my free time, I enjoy playing sports—especially basketball, tennis, and golf—singing (I was in an a cappella group throughout college), songwriting, and playing guitar. I also love spending time with friends over a good board game (my current favorites are Catan, Wingspan, and Monopoly Deal), listening to music, and exploring museums around New York City. In college, I studied abroad in Lyon, France, and loved traveling and exploring French culture!
