Certified Tutor

As a passionate educator with a Master's in Education from Sacred Heart University, I have dedicated my career to fostering student success in elementary and middle school English, math, reading, and writing. With over two years of tutoring experience and several years as a classroom teacher, I have developed a student-centered approach that emphasizes engagement and personalized learning. My experience as a long-term substitute during the COVID lockdowns allowed me to refine my remote teaching skills, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive academically. My first goal as an educator (or tutor) is to develop a rapport and a mutual trust and respect with my students which then allows me to craft a personalized approach to make learning both effective and enjoyable. I also have specialized training in (K-6) reading instruction having taken and passed the Foundations of Reading Test (FORT) as required for obtaining my teaching accreditation in CT.
